Kruger National Park is a fantastic destination and one of the top national parks in Southern Africa. For this package you will be based in Southern Kruger at Pretoriuskop Restcamp. In this park you can find 147 mammal species including the Big 5 (Lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant). You may also find the little 5 (ant lion, leopard tortoise, rhinoceros beetle, buffalo weaver and elephant shrew). Our safaris are conducted in open 4 x 4 vehicles with expert guides. Our Chalet packages range from 3 to 6 days, for packages of 5 and 6 days we also include a morning bush walk.

After collecting you from your accommodation, we depart to the wide-open spaces of the Highveld and down through the breathtaking Lowveld region. There will be a stop for lunch (own expense) en-route and we will reach Kruger in the afternoon.
Our first activity of the day is a sunset game drive which will be with SANparks on a Kruger National Park vehicle. This drive will allow you the opportunity to witness nocturnal animals meaning that they are more active at night. The Park’s rangers have permission to return after normal gate closing time. Note that this drive is with Kruger park and is not a private drive. Other guests may join you on this drive.

An early start will allow for the best sightings. After our coffee, we depart on our morning safari which will take approximately 3 – 4 hours. Our guides are highly knowledgeable about the park and the animals. This will contribute towards brilliant sightings.
Back in camp, breakfast / brunch will be served. You can now catch up on some sleep, enjoy a swim, visit the park shop (includes African curios, general food items and drinks) or walk around the camp.
Our afternoon game drive is in the late afternoon after siesta, there is not much activity from the animals in the heat of the day as it is too warm for them. They as well take a siesta and start moving around again later in the day. All our game drives are in specially adapted 4x4 open game drive vehicles to allow our guests the best possible vantage point.
Dinner is served around the campfire where we share our safari stories of the day.
Optional Activities:
These activities should be pre-booked with your consultant before you go on safari and is subject to availability.
- Panorama Route - ZAR 795 per person
- Our full-day Panorama Route tour covers the best sights of this famous South African sightseeing route. We will include the Three Rondavels, Blyde River Canyon, Bourke's Luck Potholes, God's Window and the glass elevator near the town of Graskop. If you choose to do the Panorama Route, you forfeit your morning and afternoon drive in the Kruger Park as there is not enough time to include both activities. You cannot book a Panorama Route tour whilst on safari. All entry fees and the glass elevator are included in the price. Lunch is excluded.

Last chance to spot those animals that have eluded us thus far and we set off early morning again.
After breakfast, we depart back to Johannesburg. It is a 6-hour drive and guests are advised to stay the night in Johannesburg.
