Lukimbi Safari Lodge
Safaris (Game Drives)
Game drives are in open vehicles with an experienced rangers and trackers. There are 2 game drives daily lasting about three hours each.
Limited off-road driving is permitted, offering exceptionally close viewing.
Private vehicles are available to guests subject to availability. Rates for these are on request. Private vehicles must be booked for families with children 4 years and under.
Bush Walks
Walks are available after breakfast for guests staying a minimum of 2 nights and is approximately 1 hour long. Minimum 16 years of age.

Family friendly Services Available
For parents on safari with children under the age of 12, we have the following options and services available:
• We have the Safari Play Room open to all kids. Games, wildlife movies, toys and much more are available. Children are welcome to use the Safari Play Room, but please take note that there is no supervision in this room.
• Safari beds and cots are a delight to small children, these are handcrafted in the shape and colours of various animals (rhino, elephant, giraffe, zebra) and are just one of the ways we hope to bring nature closer to your family. Please advise in advance if you require a safari bed or cot for your child.
• Our wonderful chef has a special kids’ menu available.
Family friendly Kids Activities Available
Activities are supervised from after breakfast until 13h00. Activities offered are dependent on the ages of the children in camp.
• Game Drives - Private vehicle must be booked at time of reservation for families with children under 8 years. If there is no private vehicle available we do not take the booking.
• Bush Walks - interesting plant and bug identification around the lodge area.
• Casting Tracks – learn how to identify & cast animal tracks.
• Marshmallow Roasting – enjoy dinner in the boma, followed by marshmallows roasted on the open fire, squashed between chocolate and marie biscuits.
• Target Practice – learn how to aim & shoot with an air rifle. Kids are accompanied and supervised by trained Lukimbi Rangers.
