We will introduce you to the luxurious and authentic side of Namibia. At Africat Foundation, which is designed to protect Namibia’s large predators, including lions, leopards, cheetahs and brown hyenas, you will get to meet the Big Cats. We will also be visiting the Etosha national park, Desert Mountains, the coast, the Himba people, Damaraland, Ancient rock engravings and the Petrified Forest, All within just 1 adventurous week.

Okonjima Plains Camp, Okonjima Nature Reserve
The Okonjima Nature Resere lies midway between the spectacular Etosha National Park and the capital city of Windhoek. On the first day of your tour, we will pick you from your accommodation and we then head off to Okonjima to visit the home of the AfriCat Foundation. In the afternoon, you will be treated to a tour that will provide us with insights on the wonderful conservation work that they are doing where their main focus is on the African big cats.

Mushara Lodge , Etosha East
After breakfast we head out on an early start, heading towards the Etosha National Park. Travelling via Lake Otjikoto, Namibia’s largest permanent natural lake, there will be leisure time here to rest a little and learn something about the history of this unusual landmark. Later in the afternoon, upon arrival in Etosha we will check into our lodge which is situated just outside the gate. When the afternoon gets a little cooler we head off on our first game drive. You can expect to have some excellent views of wildlife including springboks, zebras, impalas, giraffes, gemsboks and plenty of birds.

Etosha Safari Lodge Gondwana Collection Namibia, Etosha South
We spend the most part of this day watching wildlife. There are a number of waterholes that we will visit as well as stop at the Etosha Pan, the “place of dry water”. We stop at Halali middle camp to have lunch and relax before we continue to the southern side of the park and our place of stay at Etosha Safari lodge or similar.

Grootberg Lodge, Palmwag
We kickstart the day off with a early game drive before leaving the park and taking a drive in the Deser Mountains of the Kaokoveld, one of the last true wildernesses of Southern Africa and home to the Himba people. We shall pay a visit to Otjikandera Himba village where we are going to meet the local inhabitants. A special local guide is going to be available for the time we are there, the guide is going to translate for us and introduce us to this “tribe”. We are going to learn about marriage customs, traditional food and we will visit the “holy fire”. Later we proceed to Grootberg where we spend the night.

Mowani Mountain Camp, Twyfelfontein
We venture off further down into Damaraland. On our way you will see the different landscapes and also
local people found in the area. The area is known for desert elephants, so if you are lucky you might spot some. You will visit the Twyfelfontein UNESCO site with bushmen rock paintings from the area. You will also see the organ pipes and then you will continue to your lodge where you will spend the night. The afternoon you can enjoy and relax at the lodge.

Desert Breeze Lodge, Swakopmund
It's an early start to the day today. The first stop is Uis, a tiny town located in one of Namibia’s most beautiful desert regions, Damaraland. The village is located in the shadow of the Brandberg Mountain which is home to the world-famous White Lady rock painting, said by some to be over 20 000 years old. We drive on to Cape Cross along the coast where we will see the seal colony and close views of thousands of fur seals.Having arrived at the coast we drive to Cape Cross and the seal colony with close views of thousands of fur seals. In the evening we may find ourselves chancing the excellent restaurants in Swakopmund where the seafood is superb.

Windhoek
Can you believe a week has passed? Today we drive to on to Swakopmund. There are many activities you can discuss with your guide and they can help you pre-book. All extra activities in Swakopmund are at the client's own expense. The last trip of your tour is when you head back to Windhoek where your guide will drop you at your own accommodation in the afternoon.
