Linkwasha is an elegant and luxurious tented camp with a prime location on the largest private concession within the 3.5 million acre Hwange National Park. Situated at the edge of a vast pan, overlooking an active watering hole, the setting is characterized by enormous, open grass plains dotted with Ilala palms, teak forests, and acacia bushveld.
ACTIVITIES:
As Linkwasha is located in the Hwange National Park, we adhere to the National Parks regulations including no off-road driving.
- Game drives in 05 x 7-seater open 4×4 Toyota Hilux. During cooler weather conditions, hot water bottles, lined ponchos and blankets are provided.
- A pair of Olympus binoculars is available in each of the game drive vehicles for guests to share amongst themselves whilst game viewing and may be requested from our guides.
- Private activities available on request (subject to availability and at an additional cost).
- Guided nature walks.
- Birding.
- Full day outing with picnic at Ngamo.
- “Outdoor” Ecologist presentations on the surrounding area.
- Night drives with red filtered spotlight for nocturnal animals.
- Star Bed at Scott’s Pan (approximately 15 minute drive from camp).
- Sunken hide within walking distance of the camp.
- Visit to a local African village and school – approximately 1 hour driving time each way.
- Visit and interact with the Scorpion Anti-Poaching Unit team, and learn more about their daily activities (subject to availability with the duration approximately 45 minutes to 1.0 hour for the experience).
- Wilderness Safaris and Olympus Photo Hub experience.

- Morning wake-up and activity times vary according to the seasons, activities on offer and wildlife sightings.
- Early morning wake-up call.
- Light breakfast before departing on the morning activity.
- Return to camp for a meal and rest period.
- Meet for afternoon tea before departing on the activity.
- Return to camp – freshen up or meet for drinks, followed by dinner and thereafter, perhaps a nightcap.

CHILD POLICY:
- Children aged 06 years and older are accommodated.
- For families travelling with children between 06 and 12 years of age, require private activities to be booked and paid for.
- Children between 06 and 16 years of age, must share with an adult/s in the same room.
- The minimum age for walking activities is 13 years.
