While we aim to follow the planned route below, a degree of flexibility is built into the journey. At times, changes to the itinerary or accommodations may be necessary due to unforeseen circumstances. Driving times provided are approximate and may vary depending on weather, traffic, border procedures, roadworks, or conditions. Please treat the following as a guideline. Your tour may also form part of a longer itinerary, with fellow travellers joining or departing at different stages.
Heading south, we may be fortunate to spot elephant or buffalo along — or even on — the road, stragglers from the migratory herds that roam the region in search of pasture and water.
Our overnight stop is in the small settlement of Nata, where bird enthusiasts will delight in sightings of Southern yellow-billed hornbills, pied and arrow-marked babblers, glossy starlings, and paradise whydahs — all possibly spotted from the comfort of the pool deck, bar, or breakfast table.
